A house for two people who make things. The plan is organised around a single chimney mass that carries the hearth, the flue and the stair, so the rest of the envelope could stay thin and glazed toward the heath.

Brick was laid without a datum course so the walls take their line from the ground rather than the drawing. The result reads less like a building placed on the site than one that settled there.
