An extension to a 1930s faculty library, added on the north side so the reading room gets steady light and no direct sun on the desks.

The whole interior is one material — pale in-situ concrete — cast as structure, galleries, benches and the deep reveals that hold the shelving. Depth comes from how it is cut, not from how many finishes are in the room.
